MA Assistant Secretary of Tech, Innovation and Entrepreneurship visits Fraunhofer CSE

On July 14, Fraunhofer CSE welcomed Katie Stebbins, the newly appointed Assistant Secretary of Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development, to their headquarters. Fraunhofer CSE Building Energy Technologies Director Kurt Roth lead Asst. Secretary Stebbins and Patrick Larkin, Director at Mass Tech Collaborative John Adams Innovation Institute, on a tour of the Living Laboratory and introduced them to Fraunhofer CSE’s current projects.

During the tour of the Fraunhofer CSE Living Laboratory, Asst. Secretary Katie Stebbins and John Adams Innovation Institute Director Patrick Larkin were introduced to the latest projects at Fraunhofer CSE.

Before being appointed by MA Housing and Economic Development Secretary Jay Ash this past April, Asst. Secretary Stebbins previously ran her own consulting practice and was hired by Massachusetts Tech Collaborative as the primary consultant for the Holyoke Innovation District. Asst. Secretary Stebbins also launched her own civic tech startup in 2012.
