Prior to becoming Secretary, Beaton worked as an environmental engineer and sustainability consultant and formerly co-owned a green building and energy efficiency consulting company, which parallels nicely with the work that Fraunhofer CSE is doing.

For Commissioner Judson, the visit to Fraunhofer CSE was her first public appearance as the DOER Commissioner, having just been appointed on April 21. During the visit, Commissioner Judson, who is a nationally recognized expert on energy storage, discussed Fraunhofer CSE’s storage and grid modernization work.
