On Tuesday afternoon, members of the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) toured Fraunhofer CSE’s Building Technology Showcase construction site in the Boston Innovation District to learn more about this innovative retrofit project and its goals. Along the way, our visitors had a chance to see some of the energy-efficient systems currently being installed in the building, and to find out how CSE is leveraging the Showcase to accelerate the adoption of energy-saving building technologies in the United States.

NESEA is an organization of clean energy professionals dedicated to advancing the adoption of sustainable energy technology by providing high-quality education and networking opportunities. Founded in 1974 as the New England Solar Energy Association, NESEA has since expanded to cover all forms of sustainable energy, with particular emphasis on sustainable buildings and building technologies.

Fraunhofer CSE previously served as a tour host for NESEA’s annual Green Buildings Open House event, which offers attendees an opportunity to tour hundreds of homes, businesses, and public buildings with sustainable and energy-efficient design, systems, and products.
